Many people want to be healthy, but don’t know where to start. Consequently, too many people are walking around unnecessarily sick and/or in pain. And, even worse, some people even believe that it is a “normal” part of life to have headaches, back pain, weight gain, depression, allergies, and many other “common” ailments.

Thankfully, the team of experts at Bain Complete Wellness is on a mission to educate and empower people to live healthy, happy, pain-free lives.

They accomplish this through an integrative, neurologically based approach to healthcare that includes Physician and Chiropractic Services, Nutrition Consultation, Physical Therapy, Athletic Training, and Massage/Bodywork.

Dr. Tim Bain, CEO and founder of Bain Complete Wellness, says his “Complete Wellness” model is neurology focused, because the neurological system is the master controlling system of our bodies.

“One of the major problems with healthcare today is that it is too focused on looking at the symptoms, which ultimately occur downstream of the actual source of the problem,” says Dr. Bain. “That’s why we look at the neurology first.”

Dedicated to helping as many people as possible experience true health and wellness, Dr. Bain is in the midst of expanding his practices throughout Florida, and has plans to ultimately open clinics nationwide. There are currently three Bain Complete Wellness locations in central Florida – Carrollwood, New Tampa, and Riverview. Located just off Twin Lakes Blvd. at 2901 Busch Lake Blvd., the Carrollwood office of Bain Complete Wellness is convenient to I-275, Gunn Highway and Dale Mabry. A beautiful clinic in a quiet location tucked into the back of an office complex, it features multiple treatment and consultation rooms as well as a full gym.

Dr. Brett Bowser has been the Carrollwood clinic director since the practice opened in December 2012. Dr. Bowser and Bain Complete Wellness took over the location after the tragic passing of beloved local chiropractor Dr. Neal Sayers. Thankfully, three of Dr. Sayer’s wonderful staff stayed on – Patient Advocate Corie Fisher, Athletic Trainer Rebecca “Becca” Guillen and Massage Therapist Julie Wright. Massage Therapist Erin Collin is also on staff.

Dr. Bowser was attracted to Bain Complete Wellness due to Dr. Bain’s reputation for working with professional athletes; Dr. Bain is the team chiropractor for the Tampa Bay Lightning, and co-founder and medical director of the Athletes Compound at Saddlebrook Resort, where pro sports stars train off-season. As much as Dr. Bowser loves sports, he was most impressed with the diversity of Dr. Bain’s practice and the profound impact he and his team of experts had on entire families, especially babies.

Although Dr. Bowser still loves to work with athletes and is a go-to chiropractor for USF athletic teams, he is proud to be the primary care physician for numerous Carrollwood families.

That being said, it is not unusual to see many of your favorite hockey stars from the Tampa Bay Lightning in the office. In fact, In-Arena Host and Fox Sports reporter, Brittany Zion recently recorded a video segment featuring a sports performance training and chiropractic treatment session at the office with Lightning Forward Pierre-Cedric Labrie.

According to Dr. Bowser, “the terrible misconception of chiropractic care is that it is only indicated for the treatment of trauma due to automobile crashes or other accidents causing personal injury, particularly back or neck pain. Of course, it is an excellent source of rehab for these injuries and we gladly help people recover from accidents, but it is important to recognize that it offers so much more, since it is a primary means of effectively treating a person’s neurology.”

One of the most important things Dr. Bowser feels he and his team help people deal with is stress. “Stress can be physical, emotional or chemical,” he says, “and the body doesn’t care what type it is. Regardless, it creates negative chemistry within the nervous system that – if left untreated – can cause significant problems.”

He says that, too often, people are under the impression that the body is just supposed to just “deal with stress.” That’s why he believes it is important to educate them to understand that your body is only able to heal itself when given the proper nutrients, environment, and treatments.

According to Dr. Bowser, people would be a lot healthier if they thought of their bodies as analogous to cars. He says, “we all understand that we need to give our cars the appropriate fuel and perform regular maintenance like oil changes and filter replacements.”

“It’s simply about making the right choices,” he adds. “We choose high octane gasoline for our expensive sports cars because we recognize the value, but we make terrible choices in our own diets – blind to the value of our health.”

Dr. Bowser, Dr. Bain and all the experts at Bain Complete Wellness believe the key to living well is making the right choices for your health. As such, they are dedicated to providing the inspiration, education, and support to help people “choose right now,” which is the brand’s tagline. They accept all insurances and work with patients to ensure they receive the care they need, regardless of financial circumstances.

In closing, Dr. Bowser says, “We often start off caring more about our patients’ health and wellness than they do. Our goal is to get them to care as much as we do, and when they do, we consider that a true success!”
