Alzheimer’s Support Group at Belvedere Commons Assisted Living

Belvedere Commons Assisted Living is holding an Alzheimer’s Support Group meeting the last Friday of every month starting April 25th. It will be from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. and free day care will be provided. Please call in advance for reservations.

The support group will be held at 1513 W. Fletcher Ave. in Tampa. For more information or to make a reservation please contact group facilitator Donna Cahn at (813) 265-0844.

Multiple Sclerosis Support Group

The monthly Multiple Sclerosis Support Group will meet at Lake Magdalene United Methodist Church (2902 W. Fletcher Ave, Tampa), May 6th at 7 p.m. Drugs are not the only answer to handle the disease of MS. Hear Dr. Gene DeLucia speak on the subject. 2nd Annual Celebrity Golf Tournament

Saturday June 7, 8:00 a.m. – Hosted by Donnie Abraham, former NFL Buccaneer and NY Jets player, the 2nd Annual Celebrity Golf Tournament will be held at Bardmoor Golf and Tennis club, located at 8001 Cumberland Road in Seminole. Proceeds will benefit the Clearwater HS (501c3) Football program to provide them with much needed safety equipment, pads, helmets, uniforms, pregame meals and hydration products.

There will also be a $10,000 hole in one contest, best hand hole poker, closest to Pin, beat the pro and many more contests. They will also have some great prizes, including autographed sports memorabilia, a weekend in a new Cadillac from Dimmitt, jewelry, golf swing lessons, rounds of golf at several elite golf courses in Tampa Bay area, and lots of gift cards to various places, such as Sports Authority, restaurants, etc.

Registration starts at 7 a.m. and the shotgun start will begin promptly at 8 a.m. All golfers receive a goodie bag, continental breakfast, range balls, 18 holes of golf with cart, full hot lunch, photos golfing and interacting with several local celebrates and so much more.

More Info: Kids will get off their feet at this sing-a-long concert with masterful storyteller and guitar player, Mr. Tommy. For ages 3 to 8.

North Tampa Market

Sounds of Swing: Mom’s Special Night Out

When: Saturday, May 10 at 8pm
Where: Carrollwood Cultural Center, 4537 Lowell Road in Tampa
More Info: Mom will enjoy this special concert dedicated to her. We’ll even help by giving complimentary admission to moms. Dance shoes are required, but we guarantee the Sounds of Swing will have your toes tappin’. Swing Time of Tampa Bay will give ticket holders a free dance lesson at 6:30pm.

Tales of Betrayal presented by the South Florida Lyric Opera

Jazz With Jim

More Info: Jazz with Jim will perform the program “Jazz on the Bottom: Songs Written by Great Bass Players.” Jazz with Jim is a monthly concert hosted by Jim Burge and The Jazz Directions. The concert is best known for fusing personal stories by the musicians with popular jazz tunes suited for that month’s theme. Patrons can purchase home baked goods donated by the Center’s volunteers, which help complete the intimate ambience.

Carrollwood Winds Spring Concert

More Info: The Carrollwood Winds community band will perform under the direction of Kim Meider.

An American Tribute

When: Saturday, May 24 at 7pm
Where: Carrollwood Cultural Center, 4537 Lowell Road in Tampa
More info: The Carrollwood Cultural Center Community Chorus and Broadway Bound will join together to salute the troops as well as first responders in a concert as dandy as the feather in Yankee Doodle’s cap. The Community Chorus and Broadway Bound are under the direction of Mary Jo Hahn.

Girl’s Night Out Comedy Show

When: Friday, May 30 at 8pm
Where: Carrollwood Cultural Center, 4537 Lowell Road in Tampa
More Info: Our annual Girls Night Out Comedy Show features an all-girl line-up with three hilarious women: headliner Traci Kanaan “the princess of parodies,” feature comedienne Catherine Maloney and emcee Mary Tischbein. Some material may not be appropriate for young audiences.
